As a Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster, you’ll manage end-to-end claims with empathy and precision, delivering standout service to agents, customers, and partners while helping small businesses get back on their feet.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Independently manage workers’ compensation claims from start to close
• Conduct prompt 3-point contact investigations and make timely compensability decisions
• Set and update reserves in line with case facts and best practices
• Oversee administration of medical and indemnity benefits within statutory guidelines
• Collaborate with legal partners to manage litigation and settlement strategies
• Deliver updates and guidance to partner agents and insureds
• Identify early resolution opportunities to drive favorable outcomes
• Participate in SOP/process improvements to elevate Pie’s claims operations
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Minimum 2 years of experience handling Workers’ Compensation claims
• Specific experience in California required (additional states like NV, AZ, OR, CO are a plus)
• High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Strong knowledge of regulatory/medical/litigation management practices
• Clear communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
• Proficient with G-Suite and collaboration tools like Slack
• Able to assess complex cases, make timely decisions, and mitigate exposure
• Customer-first mindset with a focus on efficiency and empathy
