As a Customs & Trade Compliance Specialist, you’ll ensure regulatory precision, drive operational excellence, and support strategic sourcing across an international footprint. 📋 What You’ll Own
• Ensure global compliance with customs, import/export regulations, and trade laws
• Manage customs documentation, HS codes, tariff classifications, and FTAs
• Oversee relationships with customs brokerage partners
• Act as primary liaison with regulatory authorities during audits or inquiries
• Conduct internal customs audits and risk assessments
• Monitor and apply global sanctions, embargoes, and export controls
• Maintain accurate customs records per legal and corporate standards
• Develop and deliver internal compliance policies and training
• Collaborate across legal, procurement, and operations teams to reduce risk
• Offer strategic compliance insights as a subject matter expert
🎯 Must-Have Traits & Experience
• Prior experience in customs/trade compliance or similar role
• Degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
• Strong understanding of global customs regulations and compliance systems
• Knowledge of HS classification, FTAs, and country of origin rules
• Familiarity with sanctions and export controls
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
