Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, is looking for a Lead HR Generalist to support its Americas team. This role is perfect for an experienced HR professional with deep regional knowledge and a global mindset. You’ll help drive and execute HR strategy across multiple countries while supporting the full employee lifecycle—from onboarding and performance reviews to engagement and policy design.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Deliver timely, compliant HR operations across multiple countries
• Support talent development, onboarding, performance management, and workforce planning
• Advise managers on employee relations, org design, and engagement
• Partner with the HRIS team on systems and process optimization
• Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts
• Develop HR policies and lead key global projects
• Collaborate with leaders to scale a people-first HR function
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Proven HR experience in the tech sector with a global, remote-first workforce
• Strong familiarity with labor laws and HR best practices across the Americas, especially Latin America
• Ability to partner with senior stakeholders and mentor junior HR professionals
• Analytical, data-driven, and highly organized
• Strong communication skills in business English
• Self-directed, with a “lead and do” mindset
• Bachelor’s degree and excellent academic track record
• Willingness to travel up to four times annually
