As the Patient Coordinator, you’ll be the operational heartbeat of the hygiene department—keeping schedules tight, communication clear, and daily goals met. 📋 What You’ll Own
• Keep the hygiene schedule full and productive
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments with hygienists and doctors
• Follow up to ensure treatment plans are completed
• Explain treatment costs and coordinate insurance eligibility
• Reactivate inactive patients and minimize no-shows
• Communicate with patients about procedures and medication needs
• Document all patient interactions with precision
• Support last-minute scheduling changes and lab coordination
• Serve as a liaison between patients, back office, and insurance/accounts team
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• 1+ year experience in dental scheduling, patient care, or dental admin
• Working knowledge of dental terms and treatment plans
• Strong phone communication skills and comfort handling long calls
• Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software (preferred)
• Clear, fluent English communication
• High attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
• Fast learner, problem solver, and reliable under pressure
