• Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid
• Generate and send invoices to patients; follow up on outstanding balances
• Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, referrals, and authorizations
• Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to services and diagnoses
• Post and reconcile payments from insurers and patients
• Investigate and appeal claim denials or rejections
• Handle patient billing inquiries and set up payment plans if needed
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation
• Ensure all billing practices comply with HIPAA and regulatory standards
🎯 What You Bring
• High school diploma required; medical billing/coding certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of medical billing experience
• Solid understanding of medical terminology, billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner), and insurance processes
