1840 & Company is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented AP/AR Staff member to support both sides of the finance equation. From processing vendor invoices to reconciling customer payments and assisting payroll, you’ll keep financial workflows running smooth and accurate—building trust with clients, vendors, and internal teams alike.

📋 What You’ll Own
Accounts Payable
• Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements with precision
• Verify authorizations and policy compliance before issuing payments
• Schedule and execute payments via Ramp or Bill.com
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies
• Maintain clean, organized vendor records and AP files
• Support month-end close with AP reporting
Accounts Receivable
• Generate and send invoices based on contract terms
• Track overdue accounts and follow up on outstanding balances
• Accurately apply customer payments in the accounting system
• Partner with sales/customer service to resolve billing issues
• Reconcile AR ledger and assist in month-end financial reporting
Payroll Support
• Review payroll reports and approve runs
• Flag exceptions or anomalies before processing
🎯 Must-Have Traits & Experience
• 2–3 years in AP/AR or general accounting
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
• Fluent in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting tools like QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage
• Detail-oriented, organized, and time-efficient
• Discreet and trustworthy with confidential information
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
