As a freelance Content Editor, you’ll polish long-form blog posts, guides, and web content to a high editorial standard, working with writers and strategists to elevate every sentence. 📋 What You’ll Own
• Edit blog posts, articles, and guides for structure, clarity, and tone
• Conduct developmental edits to improve logical flow and alignment with client strategy
• Copy edit for grammar, sentence structure, and brand consistency
• Line edit to tighten phrasing and enhance readability
• Fact-check quotes, stats, and sources
• Follow brand-specific style guides and SEO best practices
• Collaborate with editorial leads and writers, offering actionable feedback
• Maintain consistent delivery and meet deadlines
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• 2–3 years of editing experience in B2B, SEO, or marketing content
• Skilled in developmental, copy, and line editing
• Strong editorial instincts with a sharp eye for clarity and structure
• Comfortable tailoring content for different audiences and tones
• SEO-aware: knows how to balance optimization with great writing
• Meticulous with details, deadlines, and feedback
