1840 & Company is hiring a Purchasing Assistant with strong Acumatica experience to join our remote procurement team. This role supports material planning, PO tracking, and international shipment coordination—ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials critical to operations.

📋 What You’ll Own
📦 Purchasing Operations
• Track materials based on production schedules, inventory needs, and forecasts
• Update and maintain purchase orders in Acumatica
• Consolidate and coordinate shipments (especially from China)
• Follow up with vendors on PO status, delays, or discrepancies
📈 Inventory & Planning Support
• Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock
• Recommend order adjustments based on planning insights
• Support cost-effective logistics through shipment consolidation
🗂️ Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of purchasing activity
• Generate regular reports on open POs and shipment timelines
• Organize all documentation for audit-ready transparency
🎯 Must-Have Traits & Experience
• 2+ years in purchasing, supply chain, or procurement
• Strong working knowledge of Acumatica ERP
• Proficiency in Excel and basic Microsoft Office tools
• Clear, professional communication with vendors and internal teams
• Detail-oriented, organized, and fast-paced multitasker
• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience

• Experience managing international vendors, especially in China
• Familiarity with basic import/shipping procedures and compliance
