🧾 About the Role
The Clinical Health Network for Transformation (CHN) is hiring a Credentialing & Licensing Specialist to ensure that providers across all member affiliates are properly credentialed, licensed, and enrolled with payers. This detail-heavy role supports mission-driven reproductive healthcare through accuracy, organization, and regulatory compliance. You’ll work cross-functionally to maintain up-to-date data across CAQH, NPPES, PECOS, and payer platforms while ensuring timely renewals and enrollments.


Position Highlights

📋 What You’ll Own
• Process credentialing and recredentialing applications with commercial, Medicare/Medicaid, and managed care payers
• Manage provider enrollment updates, terminations, and demographic changes
• Maintain and update CAQH, NPPES, and PECOS profiles
• Track and renew state licenses, board certifications, DEA/CSR registrations, and malpractice documents
• Apply for malpractice insurance and ensure emergency/off-site coverage where needed
• Maintain credentialing and licensing instructions per payer/state requirements
• Organize and archive signed provider contracts
• Uphold confidentiality and accuracy of all provider information
• Collaborate with Risk Management, affiliate teams, and Quality staff
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, equity, and accountability


🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Bachelor’s degree + 3 years of experience in provider credentialing or payer enrollment (or equivalent experience)
• Strong grasp of credentialing workflows, compliance processes, and revenue cycle basics
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Adobe Acrobat (fillable forms)
• Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
• Excellent communication skills across roles and orgs
• Strong integrity with ability to handle sensitive data
• Able to work independently, multitask, and meet strict deadlines
• Committed to racial equity and inclusive practices


Bonus Skills
• CPCS certification
• Experience with state Medicaid programs
• Prior work with billing software and reporting
• 2–5 years billing office experience
• 1+ year of healthcare data reporting
