đź§ľ About the Role
The Wikimedia Foundation is hiring a part-time Internal Communications Generalist to help strengthen employee engagement through clear, inclusive storytelling. You’ll support cross-team communication, write and design internal content, and coordinate engagement opportunities that connect staff across the global organization.

You’ll collaborate closely with the Director of Internal Communications, assist with messaging for key initiatives, and help shape internal culture through creative formats—think blogs, newsletters, videos, and more.


📋 What You’ll Own
• Write, design, and publish internal content (blog posts, newsletters, videos, etc.)
• Partner with stakeholders to support internal campaigns and initiatives
• Coordinate employee engagement activities and virtual events
• Edit and proofread for clarity, consistency, and brand voice
• Manage editorial calendars and help optimize communication channels


🎯 Must-Have Traits
• 3+ years in content writing, internal communications, or a related role
• Strong writing and editing skills—able to simplify complex messages
• Skilled in multi-format content (graphics, video, blogs)
• Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills
• Experience supporting remote or async teams is a plus
