What You’ll Do
- Submit medical documentation and billing data to insurance payers
- Research, correct, and appeal denied or rejected claims
- Prepare, review, and transmit claims via billing software (electronic and paper)
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycles
- Contact insurance companies regarding payment discrepancies
- Review insurance payments for accuracy and completeness
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of medical billing or revenue cycle experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with ICD-10, medical terminology, billing systems, and 10-key
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
