Objective

To execute and provide value added service through content editing/transcription, data synthesis and analysis.

Key Accountabilities

  • Actively listen to and/or review recorded broadcasts and corresponding text with the aim of converting the content into written format in accordance with pre-determined guidelines.
  • Adapt to changing client requirements and adhere to strict reporting deadlines.
  • Coordinate and execute on-demand and on-going media services requests (clip books, coverage reports, research and analysis, etc.).
  • Monitor client performance and conduct data analysis as stipulated throughout each reporting period (weekly – quarterly).
  • Provide on-going quality control to ensure operational efficiency and use of industry-leading practices for client administration including but not limited to: interpretation of content to generate concise and accurate summaries, creation of engaging charts and graphics to highlight performance, delivery of comprehensive, accurate and high-quality reports, manage correspondence and maintenance of client profile and guidelines.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and communicate report findings with clients during telephonic update meetings and answer queries as required.
  • Participate in training activities as required on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent). Communications, Media, English, Political Science, or Public Relations or a related field is preferred. Experience working within a global media organization is preferred.
  • Fluency in French and proficiency in English, written and oral is required.
  • Minimum of 1 years combined working in the communications, media, or research field.
  • Knowledge of Canadian geography and political/government system and its jurisdictions
  • Knowledge of current trends, practices and techniques in media analysis in both traditional and modern media formats, i.e. print, broadcast and online, including social media.
  • In-depth knowledge of diverse report production / writing applications (i.e. quantitative and qualitative findings).
  • Readily adapts to new technology, tools and systems. Advanced problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Advanced listening and verbal communication skills to understand client requirements or problems and then respond clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task several requests in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of MS Office Suite is required, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
