To be considered for this position you must hold a current Athletic Trainer Certification.

This position has the potential to be fully remote once training has been completed and metrics are being met.

Must reside in State of Colorado at time of hire.

Summary:

Uses clinical knowledge and education to provide efficient flow of clinical and non-clinical information via phone in a call center setting. Registers patients, schedules appointments, procedures and testing. May obtain referral or insurance information, verify guarantor information, quote co-pay, coinsurance, and self-pay rates to patients.

Work Schedule: Full Time Days

Responsibilities:

  • Answers patient calls. Performs patient registration and scheduling functions. Obtains insurance and demographic information.
  • Expedites information from staff to management. Works with staff from other clinics to gather information and trains staff on scheduling.
  • Collaborates with staff from other departments to improve overall patient experience. Appropriately escalates calls as needed.
  • Shadows clinics to understand scheduling needs and workflows. Serves as a subject matter expert on injuries and assists call center agents to improve scheduling accuracy.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

  • Essential:
    • Licensed Athletic Trainer
    • Certified Athletic Trainer
    • Other information:
      Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree.
      Required Licensure/Certification: Certification by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC). State licensure as an Athletic Trainer.
      Minimum Experience: None required.

The pay range for this position is: $22.80 – $29.64/ hour. Pay is dependent on applicant’s relevant experience.
