Schedule
- Full-time, fully remote (U.S.-based)
- Standard business hours, with flexibility to meet employee needs across time zones
Responsibilities
- Administer benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plans
- Manage open enrollment, process new hires, handle changes and qualifying life events, and perform reconciliations
- Coordinate leave programs across multiple states (short- and long-term disability, FMLA, Workers Comp, Military, parental, state-specific sick leave)
- Provide guidance to employees on benefit options, plan changes, claims issues, and eligibility
- Resolve coverage issues with providers as needed
- Audit benefits and leave records for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain HRIS systems for benefits enrollment, deductions, and eligibility tracking
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and state leave regulations)
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred (Associate’s degree or equivalent experience considered)
- 2+ years of experience in employee benefits administration or related HR role
- Familiarity with benefits platforms, HRIS systems, and leave management tools
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements (ACA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and HR reporting tools
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, confidentiality, and sound judgment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
