Responsibilities
• Make and receive calls in English and Spanish to help patients resolve medical balances
• Negotiate repayment terms that support both patient needs and client requirements
• Collect demographic and insurance information and document details accurately
• Use internal tools and web-based systems to answer patient questions and resolve concerns
• Practice active listening and help diffuse upset patients professionally
• Educate patients about billing processes, payment options, and available programs
• Follow all compliance and industry regulations
• Refer accounts to other departments as needed
• Support a collaborative team culture built on trust, communication, and growth
• Meet established performance expectations and quality standards
• Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold Americollect’s integrity standards
• Complete required training and pursue ongoing development

Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• Fluency in both English and Spanish (required)
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience preferred
• Experience speaking Spanish professionally in customer service required
• Call center experience preferred
• Exposure to collections, medical billing, or healthcare revenue cycle a plus
• Comfortable learning internal systems and navigating multiple tools
• Strong communication, listening, and problem-solving abilities
• Team-oriented mindset with interest in ongoing learning
