What You’ll Do
- Respond to member and provider inquiries via phone and email within service standards
- Assist members with benefits and healthcare questions in Spanish and English
- Document all interactions in a system-based call log
- Negotiate with providers to seek acceptance for plans without network agreements and/or out-of-network providers
- Research issues, anticipate needs, and drive situations to resolution
What You Need
- High School Diploma or GED (Associate degree or higher preferred)
- Customer service and/or call center experience
- Fluent English and Spanish (strong reading and writing in both)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong computer navigation skills
- Strong problem-solving, judgment, multitasking, and attention to detail
- Ability to stay tactful and calm in difficult situations
- Nice-to-have: knowledge of provider networks, Medicare/CMS reimbursement, self-funded health benefits, TPA background, claims processing, insurance verification/pre-certification, provider billing/financial experience
