Bilingual Credit Maintenance Specialist- French/English

Serving as a member of the Canada Judgmental Credit Team, the person in this role will support base commercial credit and consumer highline credit with the opportunity to get exposure to base credit functions as needed.

The incumbent is required to work on shift (shift available 9:30-5:30pm, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, 10:30-6:30 or 11:00-7:00pm Monday- Friday with every other Saturday rotation shift of 10:00 am – 6:00 pm EST).

This is an opportunity to work remote with office located in Mississauga, ON or in London, ON.

Responsibilities:

  • Possesses and applies higher credit authority limit and sound judgment
  • Works on complex projects under general supervision
  • Review commercial credit applications and credit line increase requests
  • Review consumer credit highline credit line increase requests
  • Interact with clients assigned through inbound calls and process queue work
  • Assist in performing credit decisioning using internal and external credit information such as credit bureaus, trade experience, personal guarantees, financial statements, and bank references
  • Analyze information to judge credit worthiness
  • Assist in client issue resolution and addressing credit needs
  • Ensure compliance to company and credit policies, auditing procedures, and department goals and standards
  • Aid in ensuring consistency and quality of process and decisions across the company
  • Support cross-training and line-balance opportunities to assist business partners
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of call center experience an asset (inbound and outbound)
  • Experience in credit, lending, and working within a financial department
  • Working knowledge of reading and interpreting online credit reports from Trans Union, Equifax and/or Dun & Bradstreet
  • Resolve complex issues directly with clients or third parties
  • Proficient computer and keyboarding skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to deliver clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Experience with commercial environment an asset
  • Bilingual in French and English

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
