The Role
As a Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster (Resolution Specialist), you’ll handle a caseload of transportation-related claims, including both litigated and non-litigated cases. You’ll work directly with customers, attorneys, and stakeholders to resolve claims effectively while providing high-quality, empathetic service.
This role goes beyond adjusting: you’ll also collaborate with our product and engineering teams to improve tools, processes, and automation.
What You’ll Do
- Provide prompt, courteous customer service to policyholders, claimants, and partners
- Manage an inventory of litigated and non-litigated transportation claims
- Investigate, evaluate, and resolve third-party bodily injury, UM/UIM, and property damage claims (including catastrophic losses)
- Negotiate settlements and attend mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings as needed
- Review coverage, draft complex coverage correspondence, and ensure compliance with state regulations and policy provisions
- Collaborate with counsel, experts, and vendors, serving as corporate representative when required
- Maintain adjuster licenses and continuing education requirements
Who You Are
- Licensed Adjuster (home state or designated home state license required; must obtain additional licenses within 60 days)
- 3+ years’ concentrated experience in transportation claims, including:
- Bodily injury (catastrophic preferred)
- Third-party PD & UM/UIM BI
- Litigation experience
- (PIP experience a plus)
- Knowledge of state regulations and claims compliance
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Empathetic, collaborative, and comfortable with conflict resolution
- Growth-oriented, curious, and energized by building new processes
