Are you a people person with a love for numbers? Do you have a background in bookkeeping, but enjoy interacting with people more than a standard bookkeeper or accountant? If so, this may be the position for you.

Our Bookkeeping Liaison will act as the contact person between our bookkeepers and our members.

In this role, your days will be spent understanding and explaining financial packages to our members who are receiving bookkeeping services. This role requires a strong communicator who understands the importance in working with and through people and leveraging relationships.

You absolutely must be a people person and see the value in building relationships with our members. You will need to be a clear communicator and break down information regarding financials in a way “non-numbers people” will understand them. You will have to have patience, some humor, and tolerance for what other people might view as “silly questions”.

In this role, you are the face of the Bookkeeping business. Your interaction with our members ensuring they are receiving and understanding the services that they are paying for. The other side of this role is that you will need to have the aptitude to thoroughly understand our business and bookkeeping.

Don’t get us wrong, you will not be doing the bookkeeping, but you do need to understand the ins and outs of it so that you can effectively explain the financials to our members.

Responsibilities:

  • Acting as main point of contact between our bookkeepers, members, and their internal team
  • Explaining the monthly financial packages to members
  • Following-up with clients on any missing information needed for Bookkeeping
  • Maintaining member information
  • Conducting end-of-month member review meetings to educate and clarify information regarding their books
  • Communicate with internal team regarding members to ensure a smooth flow of information
  • Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers always
  • Responding promptly to customer inquiries and/or complaints

Required Experience:

  • You must have at least 3 – 5 years in an advanced customer service focused role; if this role was in a financial setting, even better
  • Bookkeeping experience preferred; if you do not have bookkeeping experience, you will need to demonstrate the ability to understand it
