What’s a typical day as a Benefits Customer Service Representative? You’ll be:
- Quickly building rapport and responding to plan participants in a compassionate manner by identifying and exceeding expectations responding in a respectful, accurate, timely manner, consistently meeting commitments via phone, email, and instant message
- Customizing your customer service approach to meet all types of communication styles and personalities while maintaining professionalism and diplomacy during difficult calls
- Handling confidential information with sensitivity and discretion in accordance with HIPAA and Data Privacy laws and company data security requirements
- Maintaining and documenting complete and accurate call and case notes in a professional manner
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have your High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working in a customer service-related field
- Have a high level of attention to detail, multi-tasking, and ability to organize work
- Have experience using Microsoft Office with a strong ability to juggle multiple open computer windows to answer questions while on the phone/instant messaging
- Type 30 words a minute
- Love working in a virtual environment, while still being close to the company you support (within a 2-hour radius of Pittsburgh, PA).
