The Cell Culture Channel Specialist will drive growth in the sales of media, buffers and serum (cell culture products) within the assigned territory. In this role, you will be responsible for demonstrating the features and benefits of our products, building relationships with key decision-makers, and developing business strategies to grow revenue with existing and new customers. This position requires strong communication and selling abilities. You will be tasked with achieving or exceeding the territory sales plan and contributing to the overall success of the business.
This position reports to the USCAN Cell Culture Media Zone Leader and is part of the Americas sales team working remotely to cover the Southern US Region.
What you will do:
- In-person Product Promotion & Sales: Effectively communicate product features, benefits, and applications to promote and close sales in alignment with territory sales goals. Utilize sales tactics skills to maximize customer revenue.
- Channel Support: Serve as the primary support for our Channel network by identifying and pursuing opportunities within targeted accounts, focused on both current and potential new customers.
- Strategic Selling: Engage with decision-makers at all levels within assigned accounts. Use Strategic Selling techniques to influence purchasing decisions and secure long-term business relationships.
- Business Planning: Assist in the creation and execution of an annual business plan for your assigned territory. Update and refine the plan quarterly to ensure alignment with sales objectives and market conditions. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, proposals, and account updates. Consistently communicate successes, challenges, and best practices to internal teams to share knowledge and drive continuous improvement. Familiarity with a CRM (SFDC) will be beneficial.
- Customer Proposals & Pricing: Develop tailored proposals for pricing agreements, contracts, and preferred vendor agreements. Work closely with our Channel Partners to prepare and present high-impact customer agreements. Host and support product demonstrations and shows at customer sites or locally to enhance product visibility and build relationships. Coordinate technical seminars with internal teams, including Research & Development, Marketing, and Technical Sales.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Sales or Scientific degree preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Sales Skills: Strong understanding of sales processes, including lead generation, relationship management, and closing techniques.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with cell culture, laboratory environments , or research is a plus, though not mandatory.
- Communication and Organizatonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present complex information to diverse audiences. Ability to manage multiple projects and accounts, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Self-Motivated and Collaboration: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage a remote territory effectively. Strong ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams to drive sales success.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
- This is a regional based position where a minimum of 60% travel will be required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience: At least 1 year of related sales or laboratory experience is highly desirable.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to evaluate long-term business impacts and strategically plan for success in competitive markets.
- Influence & Negotiation: Skilled at building relationships, influencing decisions, and negotiating contracts that benefit both the customer and the company.
