What You’ll Do

  • Receive and respond to prescription refill requests via phone, email, fax, and Telephone Encounter
  • Verify accuracy and validity of refill requests in compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Prepare and process prescription refills accurately following internal protocols
  • Deliver strong customer service to internal and external stakeholders with clear, complete information
  • Track and analyze refill-processing performance data and report trends to leadership
  • Maintain productivity by meeting schedule and quality requirements
  • Support clinical staff and managers with administrative needs, special projects, studies, and reporting
  • Collaborate across teams to improve workflow efficiency and patient care outcomes

What You Need

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Medicare Part D (record review, claims, billing, reimbursement rules)
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA Privacy/Security rules and CMS security requirements
  • Working knowledge of Medicare Part B and Part D coverage guidelines and payment methodologies
  • Strong bilingual skills in Spanish and English (read, write, speak)
  • Strong writing skills with high attention to detail (minimal typos/spelling errors)
  • Basic PC/keyboard skills and comfort managing multiple communication channels
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet, and email
  • Required certifications/licenses (role lists multiple credentials):
    • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with a current, unrestricted license required
    • Medical Assistant: verifiable, nationally recognized certificate required
