What You’ll Do
- Receive and respond to prescription refill requests via phone, email, fax, and Telephone Encounter
- Verify validity and accuracy of refill requests while following regulatory guidelines
- Prepare and process prescription refills accurately using established protocols
- Provide clear, professional support to internal and external stakeholders
- Track and analyze performance data tied to refill processing and report trends to leadership
- Meet productivity and quality standards while maintaining efficiency
- Support clinical staff and managers with administrative tasks, special projects, and reporting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve workflow and patient care outcomes
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant certification required:
- Certified by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), or
- Registered Medical Assistant through American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or medical office setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medications
- Strong computer skills (data entry, navigation, keyboarding), including EMR/EHR experience
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Word
- Strong customer service skills and calm phone presence
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to follow daily schedules, duties, and performance expectations
- Demonstrated caring and compassion
