Carenet Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our remote team, supporting patients with prescription refill needs and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and compassionate service. Responsibilities
- Receive and process prescription refill requests via phone, email, fax, and electronic systems
- Verify prescription validity and accuracy in compliance with regulations
- Accurately prepare and dispense refills following organizational protocols
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, providers, pharmacies, and internal teams
- Compile and analyze data to track refill KPIs, presenting trends to leadership
- Adhere to schedules and productivity/quality standards
- Provide admin support for clinical staff on medication refill programs and special projects
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize workflows and improve patient care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (AMT) certification required
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinical or medical office environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medications
- Proficient with EMR/EHR systems and strong computer/data entry skills
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Word
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong customer service skills with empathy and compassion
- Ability to follow schedules, meet duties, and maintain accuracy
- Reliable, high-speed internet (satellite and 5G not accepted)
