Title: Chief Clinical Officer- Hospital Patient Monitoring (US-Remote)

Location: PA-Pittsburgh

The Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) for Patient Monitoring in the North America Region holds a strategic role with primary responsibilities centered around clinical excellence, presales consultation, process design, and industry representation.

The CCO will shape and drive clinical standards, influence workflow transformations, and collaborate closely with various teams to ensure customer success and adoption of Philips patient monitoring solutions.

The CCO is an experienced nursing leader with a strong technical aptitude and an in-depth understanding of healthcare technology and patient monitoring.

Your role:

The Chief Clinical Officer plays a crucial role in driving the clinical excellence and success of Philips’ patient monitoring solutions within the North America Region. This position requires a seasoned nursing leader with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare technology, clinical workflows, and customer needs.

Clinical Workflow Transformation:

  • Lead the development of clinical workflow perspectives that align with transformative technology deployments to enhance hospital Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Prescriptive Clinical Standards:

  • Establish and scale prescriptive clinical standards to enhance nursing efficiency for customers, ensuring widespread adoption by field teams and clients.

Process Design Ownership:

  • Oversee the clinical sales process from pre-sales to post-sales, driving the transformation of market-wide clinical workflows that support broad healthcare system deployments and advanced patient care.

Clinical Configuration Design:

  • Develop clinical configurations that meet customer KPIs and contribute to Philips’ Clinical Decision Support strategy, leveraging competitive differentiators.

Customer Education:

  • Assess customer education needs during the sales process and design post-sale training scopes, emphasizing the benefits of clinical performance agreements.

Tools and Processes:

  • Create standardized tools, templates, processes, and language for presales clinical consultants, fostering consistency and efficiency in daily practices.

Strategic Alignment:

  • Establish a harmonized approach across the North America region for prioritizing clinical requirements and presales clinical strategies, culminating in a standardized customer playbook.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Business Units (Research and Development) and Service teams to optimize the Philips Hospital Patient Monitoring platform.

Customer Assessment:

  • Develop a customer assessment standard supporting clinical architects in evaluating clinical workflows pre-sales, generating recommendations for measurable KPI improvements.

Senior Management Advisory:

  • Provide guidance to senior management on optimal nursing practices, based on extensive nursing leadership experience.

You’re the right fit if:

  • Experience: A history of developing clinical specialist sales organizations of 20 members, coupled with 15-20 years of Nursing Leadership at the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) or Chief Nursing Informatics Officer (CNIO) level within a large Integrated Delivery Network (IDN).
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in medical terminology and the technical aspects of the latest healthcare technology advancements, with a preference for experience in acute clinical settings.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, with an advanced degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field.
  • Portfolio Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Philips patient monitoring systems, transformative technologies, and their potential impact on care standards and pathways.
  • Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of patient monitoring technologies, solutions, and market dynamics, including awareness of the competitive landscape and healthcare industry trends.
  • Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated leadership skills, including team motivation, objective setting, and performance enhancement. Strong decision-making and problem-solving acumen.
  • Relationship Building: Possesses outstanding interpersonal skills for the establishment and nurturing of relationships with critical stakeholders, which encompass customers, internal teams, and business partners. Additionally, actively fosters and guides clinical workflow customer user groups.
