Remote (U.S.) or hybrid at Curri HQ in Ventura, CA. Full-time. This role reports to the Manager, Operational Risk & Insurance within Legal and Compliance.

What You’ll Do

  • Receive, review, and investigate incidents such as cargo damage or loss, third-party property damage, driver vehicle damage, paint spills, and driver injury
  • Collect statements, documentation, and evidence from customers, drivers, and third parties to determine next steps and outcomes
  • Evaluate coverage, determine liability, and recommend claim resolutions
  • Communicate professionally with customers and internal stakeholders about claim status and outcomes
  • Control claim costs by validating documentation, identifying recovery opportunities, and submitting claims to insurance carriers when possible
  • Maintain accurate, organized claim files to support reporting and compliance with internal processes
  • Assist with enrollment and maintenance of Curri’s Loss Waiver Program to offset claim-related losses
  • Support department projects and initiatives as needed

What You Need

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple claims while meeting deadlines
  • High attention to detail and sound judgment when reviewing facts and documentation
  • Strong customer service skills, including ability to de-escalate hostile or high-stress situations
  • Comfort communicating frequently with customers during sensitive or complex claim scenarios
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and understand claims impact on transportation and operations teams
  • Working knowledge of transportation, cargo handling, or logistics processes (strongly preferred)
