Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday – Friday
  • 8-hour shift schedules during business hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST
  • Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs
  • 2 weeks of paid training, onsite, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST

What You’ll Do

  • Answer inbound calls, route inquiries, book appointments, and verify insurance coverage
  • Deliver excellent customer service as the voice of The Corvallis Clinic
  • Prioritize patient needs and provide efficient, timely responses
  • Build positive relationships with patients while supporting providers and staff
  • Use established policies and procedures to meet patient needs and resolve issues
  • Communicate clearly with patients, staff, and providers, escalating urgent cases promptly
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient data (HIPAA compliance)
  • Utilize technology and PBX platforms as directed
  • Perform other assigned tasks

What You Need

  • High School Diploma / GED (or equivalent)
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • 1+ years of high-volume customer service experience (call handling preferred)
  • Ability to learn telecommunications hardware/software and multiple IT applications
  • Experience with computers and Windows-based applications
  • Knowledge of clerical/administrative procedures and terminology
  • Ability to work full-time within 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST, with occasional overtime

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare or call center experience
  • Training or knowledge of medical/insurance terminology
  • Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality requirements

Telecommuting Requirements

  • Must reside within commutable distance to 500 Main Street, Philomath, OR
  • Secure, dedicated home workspace separated from living areas
  • Compliance with UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy
  • Access to approved high-speed internet service

Compensation & Benefits
