Remote role supporting clinical operations during business hours. Reliable internet and a private workspace are required.

What You’ll Do

  • Respond to inbound patient calls and conduct outbound follow-ups
  • Answer questions about prescription status, prior authorizations, labs and imaging, and referrals using approved workflows
  • Review patient charts in the EHR to confirm status of orders, prescriptions, and referrals
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in the EHR
  • Route requests to Medical Assistants, RNs, or providers per escalation protocols
  • Track outstanding requests and follow up to ensure resolution
  • Follow HIPAA and PHI handling requirements and meet service-level expectations
  • Participate in training, QA reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives

What You Need

  • 2+ years of experience in a healthcare contact center, medical office, or clinical operations environment
  • Experience working with EHR systems (Athenahealth preferred)
  • Understanding of outpatient workflows: prescriptions, labs, referrals, prior authorizations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow structured workflows
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
