This Collections/Customer Service Specialist Position is a contract to full-time role.
This position offers a fully remote work schedule, candidates must live in Alabama to be considered for this opportunity.
Major responsibilities
– Maintain and update customer files to sustain data integrity
– Yield to all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations
– Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
– Guarantee the processing of payments
– Direct all billing and reporting activities in accordance to deadlines
– Attend to inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence
– Log all customer payments to the correct reports
– Act as mediator in maintaining quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
– Accurately process bankruptcy filings when received
Requirements
– Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
– Previous experience using accounting software
– Solid understanding of Collections
– Post Payments experience
– Strong familiarity with Credit Card Payments
– Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel
– General familiarity with customer service
– Adeptness in Process Payments
– Command of Collecting Payments
– Posting Payments experience highly desired
– AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred
– 1+ years of prior high volume collections experience
– Ability to survey and make decisions regarding customer accounts
