JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is looking for a Collection Representative to join a global manufacturer and Fortune 200 company for a 6-month contract with possibilities of extension.
The individual will be responsible for reviewing open accounts for collection efforts, conduct and manage collection calls to collect Account Receivables, mail correspondence to customers for overdue receivables, and negotiate customer disputes to resolution and documents root cause.
This role is fully remote 8am-5pm EST so it requires an individual who can work independently, be accountable, and problem-solve. It requires strong oral and written communication skills and excellent organization skills to be able to make phone calls at a fast pace, send emails, and manage accurate collection files.
The Collector will be responsible for contacting internal and external customers who have outstanding balances at stores, and they will be contacted by customers who are requesting to make purchases but have outstanding balances to pay in advance. They will also help the Credit Manager with identifying issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with the Manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 1-3+ years of customer service or call centre experience with hands-on experience assisting a large customer base with payments, outstanding balances, and/or customer issues
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- An ability to work in a fast paced environment
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Accounts Receivable knowledge
- Previous experience in collections (Ex/ contacting customers for outstanding payments, ensuring month-end dues are paid, account receivables)
- Education in a related field (i.e., Finance, Accounting, Business)
- Experience with SAP and other credit software
- Knowledge of specialist financial instruments (Ex/ security agreements, third-party guarantees, promissory notes, letters of credit)
