Position Summary:
West Marine is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented CRM Analyst who can transform raw data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations. This role provides direct analytics support to the Consumer Relationship Management (CRM) and Marketing teams to foster data-driven decision making and delivers critical reporting on all CRM initiatives. In this role, you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to our top line growth and help provide direction to the entire organization. You will interact directly with cross functional work groups and executive leadership.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer behavior, lifecycle, and lifetime value to drive success in retail & wholesale performance.
- Leverage customer personas, segments, behavioral data to create customer analysis and develop strategies to increase loyalty and basket.
- Provide actionable overall market and customer insights to address key strategic questions.
- Responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of marketing activities, ad-hoc analytic requests, and development/automation of regular reporting and dashboards.
- Analyze A/B and Multivariate tests, communicate results and provide recommendations.
- Advise and help define audience targeting strategy, testing methodology, and measurement of email marketing performance.
- Build and augment analytical capabilities in the following areas: contact strategies, loyalty performance, lifetime value, conversion, retention, and omnichannel/multichannel strategies.
- Prepare and conduct trainings for other teams to drive self-service mentality for recurring analytics tasks.
- Own Customer and Marketing dashboards and reports.
- Identify and triage data anomalies and work cross functionally to resolve issues.
- Deep dive as needed to determine root causes.
- Develop and present new insights and recommendations to enhance existing CRM initiatives
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Master or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
- 3 years experience as Database Marketing Analyst or related occupation.
- 1 year of prior work experience in each of the following
- Marketing analytics
- Quantitative research methodologies: survey design, sampling, or analysis
- SQL, Tableau, and Alteryx
- R, Python or SAS statistical packages
- Machine Learning algorithms
