Schedule
- Full-time, remote position (Nationwide, US)
- Eastern Time shift alignment required
- Eligible for performance-based incentive plan
Responsibilities
- Respond to patient and client complaints related to account balances and payments
- Research missing payments, including EOBs, checks, and insurance information
- Resolve all escalated accounts within 24 hours
- Investigate patient complaints and verify whether payments have been posted correctly
- Analyze historical data to identify root causes of escalations
- Post Accounts Payable deposits, process electronic 835s and manual payer EOBs
- Apply appropriate denial codes, adjustments, and contractual allowances
- Balance and close payment batches accurately and timely
- Communicate coaching opportunities to Posting Managers when needed
- Complete special projects and assist with daily posting duties
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 6 years of cash posting experience
- Strong knowledge of medical billing, EOB interpretation, and denial management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare payment systems
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information appropriately
- Consistent QA performance (90%+ for past 90 days preferred)
