Our Contact Center team supports callers across California, resolving concerns, answering questions, and building long-term financial relationships rooted in integrity and care.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Remote (California residency required)
- Pay: $21.50 per hour
- Must have prior contact center experience; banking experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service using effective call-handling techniques in a fast-paced environment.
- Resolve complex issues, escalations, and digital banking concerns with minimal guidance.
- Navigate multiple systems and screens to handle transactions, inquiries, and account updates.
- Recommend products and services that support member financial goals.
- Investigate and report fraudulent activity when identified.
- Assist members with online/mobile banking troubleshooting and Mobile Wallet setup.
- Open sub-share accounts and complete member transactions efficiently.
- Use strong judgment and critical thinking to de-escalate challenging calls.
- Maintain performance standards for call quality, efficiency, and compliance.
- Complete all required regulatory training modules.
- Model Golden 1’s values: Integrity, Reliability, Service Excellence, and Inclusion.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
- 1 year of experience in a contact center environment or 2+ years in financial services.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and resolve issues.
- Ability to multitask across multiple systems and applications.
- Experience assisting customers with digital banking tools and troubleshooting.
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to work independently.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to meet performance standards with high accuracy.
- Familiarity with internet navigation and internal knowledgebase tools.
