Overview

As part of a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization this role serves as the Corporate Outreach Specialist responsible for generating leads and securing new business meetings for the Business Development Team. Key operational functions for this role include partnering with Prospect Research, Stewardship, and Communications teammates to support the solicitation cycle for corporate prospects. Relentlessly pursuing cancer cures.

Responsibilities

Prospect Identification and Outreach

  • Consistently pursue appointments for the Business Development team by conducting cold and warm lead calls.
  • Proactively execute strategies to identify sources of corporate support to generate leads for Business Development staff.
  • Monitor industry trends to identify potential supporters and partners.
  • Partner with Prospect Research team to create in depth research on corporations using a wide variety of resources to assess a potential corporate partner’s capacity and propensity to donate.

Stewardship and Communications

  • Partner with Stewardship and Communications team to coordinate list review and materials for frontline Business Development staff.
  • Support the creation of pitch decks for Business Development Team using existing templates.

Staff & Volunteer Leadership Development

  • Partner with volunteer leaders as brand ambassadors through cultivation and strategic alignment, outlining and mapping relationships to secure c-suite meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • 4+ years of frontline fundraising or sales lead generation experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be highly proficient in Office Suite, specifically power-point
