Customer Advocate

Location: Melbourne, FL – Remote position

Reports to: Patient Support Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Awesome Medical Company seeks equally awesome Customer Advocate. Hours of this position are 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM Tuesday – Saturday.

I’m looking for a Advocate, for our Melbourne, FL office, who is excited about having the front line responsibility of providing product support (educate and instruct on the use of Medicomp’s cardiac monitors) to patients, customers, and internal staff to maintain patient compliance with the cardiac monitoring test.

This position shall support the clinical team to ensure maximum patient compliance and management of company assets (cardiac monitors and equipment).

The work will include a wide variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Communicate with patients, customers, and internal staff via telephone to maintain patient compliance, order supplies, track shipments, troubleshoot devices, document losses and meet FDA compliance requirements.
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls (no sales calls) in a call center setting.
  • Use Microsoft Excel, Google spreadsheets and proprietary software to document, track, and monitor communication and compliance.
  • Study for and pass national certification exam within 3 months of hire (exam paid for by Medicomp)
  • Interdepartmental transition available with job proficiency and attendance requirements met (other departments include Clinical, Customer support, Trials, Quality Improvement, Fulfillment, Billing, Resolution, Marketing, Engineering, Sales, Finance)

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • High School diploma; College preferred but not necessary
  • 3 years of experience in administrative or healthcare with direct customer contact. Call center experience may be applicable.
  • Familiar with structure, policies, and administrative needs of a medical office setting and have strong organizational skills.
  • Goal oriented and self- motivated.
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office Product skills: Word, Excel
  • Strong editing skills required
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, highly dynamic work environment
  • Able to sit and be on the phone for long periods of time
