PAR Technology is hiring a Customer Experience Technician to deliver hands-on support for restaurants by servicing hardware, software, and network systems directly at customer locations. You’ll be the face of PAR’s service excellence, providing on-site troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and training that ensures every customer walks away confident in their technology.

Schedule
- Full-time, remote-based but must live in North or Central New Jersey (or nearby for reasonable commuting distance)
- Travel required to customer sites (may include overnight stays)
- Flexibility to work after hours, weekends, and holidays
What You’ll Do
- Deliver on-site service excellence for restaurant clients as the primary PAR representative
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hardware, software, and network issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and educate customers on best practices
- Install and configure POS systems and network cabling
- Train restaurant managers and staff on PAR products and operations
- Respond to service calls within defined SLA timeframes
- Manage company parts inventory and maintain a company vehicle
- Provide on-call emergency service support as needed
- Collaborate with Help Desk and internal PAR teams for escalations
What You Need
- 2+ years’ experience troubleshooting microprocessor-based equipment
- Strong customer service focus with the ability to communicate technical solutions clearly
- Critical thinking skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with inventory management and service documentation
- Familiarity with DOS commands, PC BIOS, AC power, and grounding
- Ability to run and terminate network cabling
- Associates degree or equivalent technical experience
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to travel
- Ability to climb ladders, lift 50 lbs., and differentiate colors for cabling standards
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $27.00 – $30.00 per hour (plus potential bonuses, commission, and/or equity)
