Division Specific Information

As a CPE, you will join our Global Solutions Team within the Materials and Structural Analysis Division (MSD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific. You will focus on communicating with our customers, supporting digital service implementation, and client servicing by analyzing system specific data to improve the efficiency of the instruments at the customer location.

Location: Shanghai, China; Remote, China

Our Global Solutions Team has one, unified goal to help our customers be successful. We do this primarily by delivering outstanding service and support for our customers.

What will you do?

  • Support digital service implementation to ensure instrument connectivity and data availability.
  • Liaison with customer success manager and customers to analyze instrument specific data and find ways to improve productivity and utilization.
  • Verify customer s instrument health within specs and check especially proactive maintenance calls.
  • Coordinate with remote and on-site teams to arrange appropriate support and service based on data collected.
  • Upskill and support customers/users to get familiar with Connected Care as needed.
  • Support new features and methods testing.
  • Maintaining open communication with local and internal teams to enable delivering improved service. Document all reasonable actions regarding the scope of work in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to confidentiality or NDA agreements.
  • Ability to work remotely on projects solely if deemed necessary by the site due to circumstances outside of normal control (e.g., restrictions on in-person lab work due to COVID)

How will you get here?

  • 2+ years experience in Semiconductor equipment manufacturers (metrology and inspection equipment is preferred.)

Education

  • BA (with experience) or MS in Engineering, Computer Science or Engineering, Science, Mechanical Engineering. Preferred with TEM or SDB majors or relevant studies.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to work in cross-disciplinary customer environments.
  • Excellent teammate that can also work well independently and remote.
  • Experience interacting with customers, service engineers, application scientists, account managers, and R&D.
  • Proficient English (spoken and written)
  • Knowledge about semiconductor process and workflow is a plus.
  • Up to 40% travel required (in China).
