This one is more inbound service than straight collections. You’ll answer customer questions, troubleshoot issues, take routine payments, and guide people to self-serve options (portal/IVR). You still need a spine though, because you’ll be dealing with frustrated customers and delinquency routing.

Schedule
- Remote (must live in one of these states): AL, AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI
- Requires: two evening shifts per week (12pm–9pm CST and 10am–7pm CST)
- Requires: one Saturday shift every 5 weeks
- Heavy phone work + accurate documentation; must be reliable and punctual
What You’ll Do
- Handle inbound calls about customer account questions and perform required callbacks
- Take routine payments over the phone
- Point customers to available resources (online portal, IVR, and other self-serve options)
- Explain account info clearly (interest, statements, and related questions)
- Identify delinquent or potentially delinquent accounts and route customers to the right team for help
- Use internal resources to aim for one-call resolution
- Support admin work for the department (reports, emails, and occasional in-office tasks)
- Help train new hires by shadowing/training and reporting progress to management
- Stay accurate under deadlines and adapt to changes in process or policy
What You Need
- Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, internet, email)
- Professional phone presence + strong written and verbal communication
- Persuasion/negotiation ability and calm under pressure
- Strong typing skills and attention to detail
- Ability to take direction, work well with others, and maintain consistent attendance
