Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls and emails promptly while meeting service goals
- Process orders, route calls, and follow up with patients and providers
- Complete insurance verification and obtain pre-authorization as needed
- Educate patients on financial responsibility and coverage details
- Review and process documentation for accuracy and payer compliance
- Navigate multiple EMR systems to obtain and enter required information
- Maintain accurate records of authorizations, expiration dates, and carrier details
- Communicate trends and updates to management and team members
- Resolve patient complaints and ensure a positive customer experience
- Meet quality assurance standards and performance metrics
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in healthcare administration, billing, insurance, call center, or claims (Medicare-certified HME experience preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of learning new technologies quickly
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
