What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and review assigned payment denials in Enterprise Task Manager and work claims within required timelines
  • Research denial issues using payer websites and phone outreach to accelerate resolution
  • Assemble and submit appeal documentation (including Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Shield, and commercial payers), including through Waystar when applicable
  • Contact carriers regarding denied and appealed claims to clarify status and requirements
  • Support denial procedure development and process improvements
  • Route provider-related issues and supporting documentation to the Senior Analyst as needed
  • Review payer manuals/websites and flag new procedures impacting claims processing
  • Identify and report recurring claim errors that could affect broader processing accuracy
  • Meet productivity timelines and maintain quality standards (95% QA or better)

What You Need

  • 1–3 years of physician medical billing experience with emphasis on research and claim denials
  • Strong knowledge of physician billing policies, procedures, and reimbursement guidelines
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • General knowledge of ICD and CPT coding
  • Ability to meet production, quality, and attendance metrics consistently
  • Strong organization and analytical skills; able to work independently
  • High school diploma or equivalent
