Schedule

  • Full-time, hourly (non-exempt), remote (United States)
  • California preferred; must work in Pacific Time (PST required)
  • Coverage needed for mid-to-late shifts between 10:00am–10:00pm PT

What You’ll Do

  • Review client requests, prep filings per court rules, and submit through Steno’s eFiling portal
  • Enter and update client/order details in internal databases (new assignments, documentation, status updates, order closeouts)
  • Meet service level agreements by completing assigned orders accurately and on time
  • Prioritize rush assignments and keep customers updated on delivery timelines
  • Communicate with customers about status updates, conformed copies, and filing rejections
  • Handle client emails and calls with a hospitality mindset
  • Monitor multiple databases to ensure timely fulfillment and accurate status tracking
  • Follow special instructions and additional customer requests with high attention to detail
  • Build and maintain expertise in covered jurisdiction filing requirements
  • Resolve customer inquiries and escalations quickly, escalating appropriately when needed
  • Keep clear notes of customer and vendor interactions
  • Close and invoice customer requests

What You Need

  • Legal/litigation support background, especially preparing documents for filing and service of process
  • Strong knowledge of California Superior Court filing requirements and procedures
  • 3+ years in a customer-service-oriented role or legal documentation role
  • Experience eFiling via LegalConnect, One Legal, or similar portals
  • Experience with Legal CMS tools supporting service of process, court filing/copy jobs, and eFilings
  • Experience working with legal support vendors, affiliates, and process servers
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to move through detailed processes quickly while staying organized
  • Interest in a fast-paced, growing tech startup environment
  • Located in California (preferred) or able to work Pacific Time hours (required)
