Schedule
- Part time, remote within the United States
- Up to 1,000 hours per year
- Requires flexibility, including evenings and weekends
- Must be currently enrolled at National University
What You’ll Do
- Provide virtual academic support through individual sessions, small groups, research labs, and ASC Chat
- Assist students with discipline-specific concepts, study strategies, academic writing, organization, and critical thinking
- Host research labs in collaboration with faculty
- Offer post-session feedback and maintain accurate session records
- Help students identify learning strengths and areas for improvement
- Create academic resources, including video tutorials and lessons
- Support the mission of the Academic Success Center
- Participate in required training, coaching, and development sessions
- Deliver consistent, high-quality support in a diverse, online learning environment
- Complete additional duties assigned by ASC leadership
What You Need
- Enrollment in a National University graduate program (or equivalent)
- Strong academic performance, with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Demonstrated proficiency in subject area(s) of focus
- Two faculty recommendations, including one from the faculty member providing content guidance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience mentoring, tutoring, or teaching preferred
- Ability to work effectively in an online learning environment
- Comfort with Microsoft Office and navigating technology driven platforms
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Commitment to inclusive, student centered support
