Schedule
- Full-time position
- Evenings, weekends, and major holidays off
- Must reside in Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones
- Comprehensive training provided
- Onsite presence not required after training
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls from plan participants, providers, and group contacts regarding benefits and claims
- Provide clear, accurate information and document all interactions in Chronolog
- Interpret plan documents, amendments, and benefit summaries
- Research claim payments and assist with problem resolution
- Support team members and contribute to overall workflow
- Meet or exceed production and quality standards
- Assist members with online tools and resources
- Handle claim record maintenance, indexing, and correspondence
- Participate in cross-training and employee training efforts
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; college or medical terminology training preferred
- Basic computer skills and customer service experience
- Ability to type 45 WPM
- Strong communication, listening, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic health insurance concepts preferred
- Ability to work under pressure, organize detailed information, and meet deadlines
- Must project professionalism and maintain confidentiality
