Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:30 am – 6:30 pm AST
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime, weekends, or holidays based on business needs
- Remote work available for candidates located in San Juan, PR
- Required new hire training provided and must be successfully completed
What You’ll Do
- Review and resolve denied or pending claims by researching payer portals and internal systems
- Interpret Explanations of Benefits (EOBs) and determine proper follow-up actions
- Complete outbound calls to payors for claim status updates
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve claim errors and identify trends
- Prioritize aged accounts and take action to reduce accounts receivable and bad debt
- Verify eligibility, claim status, and payer policies for accurate processing
- Enter data accurately for claim adjudication
- Meet departmental performance goals for efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction
What You Need
- 6+ months of experience in collections, billing, or healthcare claims
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong computer navigation and data entry skills
- Professional fluency in both English and Spanish
- Ability to work full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:30 am – 6:30 pm AST, with occasional overtime or weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Medical Coder
- Experience in healthcare accounts receivable, insurance, or medical claims
- Knowledge of medical terminology, Medicare/Medicaid, and payer requirements
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
