As a Travel Claims & Customer Service Representative, you will take the first reports of claims and will initiate the claims process. This is a front line position in our Travel department and is crucial in setting the tone for fulfilling our promise of providing exceptional white-glove service to our claimaints and callers. You will use your independent judgment and communication skills to obtain information and determine if coverage exists and relay this information to claimants.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Independently process travel claims in accordance with associated policies
- Read, analyze, and interpret general business materials, technical procedures, benefit plans and regulations
- Handle incoming calls from and makes outgoing calls to claimants and suppliers in a professional, positive and proactive manner
- Consistently meet established performance standards, including quantity and quality claims processing standards
- Maintain current knowledge of Plan(s) and effectively applies this knowledge to the payment of claims, customer service, and all other job functions
- Ensure that CBP maintains HIPAA compliance in all areas
Requirements
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, strong organizational/follow-up skills required
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team-based environment
- Computer experience with related claims and business software.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as depreciation and interest
