Schedule

Responsibilities
- Enter referrals into the system within established timeframes, meeting productivity and accuracy standards
- Communicate with referral sources, physicians, and staff to obtain and route documentation for completion
- Review medical records to ensure compliance with payer guidelines before services are rendered
- For non-Medicaid patients, explain financial responsibility, collect payments, and document accordingly
- Collaborate with branch leadership to confirm inventory and services
- Answer incoming calls and assist callers with accurate information
- Contact patients when documentation does not meet guidelines, offering updates and alternative options
- Work with the sales team to gather necessary documentation and maintain strong referral source relationships
- Navigate multiple EMR systems to retrieve required documentation
- Coordinate with the verification team to ensure accurate patient and payment details
- Maintain knowledge of payer guidelines and compliance requirements for all equipment and services
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in healthcare administrative, financial, or insurance customer service, claims, billing, call center, or management
- Experience in a Medicare-certified HME, IV, or home health environment that bills insurance preferred
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new technologies
