Schedule
- Contract position
- Fully remote, U.S. or territories only

What You’ll Do
- Provide consecutive or simultaneous over-the-phone interpreting between English and one or more target languages
- Accurately convey meaning, tone, and context while maintaining professionalism
- Follow speakers’ direction, ask for clarification when needed, and manage conversation flow
- Ensure compliance with interpreter ethics and federal standards
- Deliver high-level customer service while supporting federal government communications
What You Need
- 1+ year of over-the-phone interpreting experience (consecutive or simultaneous)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must be 18+ and legally reside in the U.S. or its territories
- Full fluency in English and native or near-native proficiency in at least one of the listed target languages (see below)
- Two professional references
- Accreditation from ATA, higher education training, or equivalent credentials
Security Requirements
- Ability to pass a federal background check
Preferred Skills
- Experience interpreting for federal agencies such as DHS, USCIS, CBP, or FEMA
