Licensed Sales Support Representative – Seasonal
eHealth is growing our organization and looking for an enthusiastic and results driven individual to work with our Medicare Sales Support Team. eHealth’s mission is to connect Medicare beneficiaries with quality affordable health insurance and Medicare plans. To accomplish this mission, we need Sales Support Representatives to be the first contact for our beneficiaries to finding the right Medicare plans for their needs.
As a Sales Support Representative you will listen to and assist customers regarding their Medicare related questions including but not limited to, benefits, eligibility, and enrollment, with the goal of introducing them to our licensed insurance agents.
This is a seasonal position beginning on September 5, 2023 and is anticipated to end December 8, 2023.

Essential Job Functions:
The purpose of this position is to assist customers by verifying their information and overcoming objections. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintain attendance and conformance standards.
- Ability to document detailed information while on the phone with the members.
- Maintain a consistently positive attitude and customer first approach to deliver a superior customer experience.
- Handling a high volume of inbound customer phone calls daily while:
- Identifying eligible leads per sales guidelines by overcoming objections, gathering key information, and providing value to get customers connected to our licensed agents.
- Attempting to resolve the customer’s inquiry completely during the first phone call, if unable to, escalate to the appropriate department for further assistance.
- Helping customers navigate the eHealth website.
- Educating customers on how eHealthInsurance can benefit them.
- Meet monthly transfer goals.
- Meet additional standards established by Sales Management.
Qualifications:
- Ability to pass the health and life exam to obtain the necessary licensing requirements
- Minimum of 1+ years customer service or sales experience; preferably in a call center environment.
- High speed hardwired internet connection with 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.
- Availability to work 6:00AM to 6:00PM PST, Monday through Friday with overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent oral & written communications.
- Excellent computer software skills, i.e. Word, Excel, and Internet skills.
- Intermediate typing skills minimum.
- Internet/e-commerce background preferred.
