About the Role
Title: Manager of Sales Advanced Therapy Solutions NA North-East
Location: USA-
Sartorius is seeking a dynamic entrepreneurially spirited Manager of Sales for our Advanced Therapy Solutions business based remotely in the Northeast, (preferably in Massachusetts). You will be responsible for leading the sales organization within the North-East region and implementing policy and strategy for short-term results. You will oversee the Commercial Development Managers and Sales Specialists to drive profitable growth aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives. Furthermore, the position holder will grow and maintain long term key customers by understanding their requirements. The goal is to sustain and grow the business to achieve long-term success.

What you will accomplish together with us
- You will implement the sales strategy within an assigned area of responsibility and drive and monitor sales results within this area
- On a daily basis, you will build and maintain an efficient sales teams to achieve business objectives and customer satisfaction across their area of responsibility.
- You will manage the regional BU sales implementation, lead identification, strategic evaluation, selling cycle, resulting BU business
- One of your tasks will be to manage and develop the Sales team
- You will acquire new and expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
- Utilize your knowledge to provide pre-sales technical support and expertise to assist the sales team in their sales effort
- Deliver in depth presentations and support product evaluations to clients
- Collaborate with all stakeholders in the organization and serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
- One of your duties will be to provide ad hoc and regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics
- Identify opportunities to improve market coverage
- Provide insights for customer support to address clients’ issues in the usage of organizational products and services
- You will represent the company at meetings / events / gatherings / Industry Interest groups
- Achieve the commercial KPI’s for the region (Shipments, Orders, New Business and Run Rate Funnel size, Funnel additions, Win Rate) and take appropriate actions
- You will assist in establishing Win the Spec program for the territory and ensure that Spec win targets are achieved
- Ensure that all commercial activities are documented in the CRM
- Provide forecast for the territory
What will convince us
- You have completed a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, biology, biochemistry, or similar life science disciplines.
- You have a minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the life science industry.
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience managing a sales team preferably within Life Science
- You have experience interpreting and make sales recommendations.
- Proficiency in software skills, e.g. CRM-System, Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), financial tools and others
- Negotiation, organizational, problem-solving, and influencing skills
