Help physician practices maximize revenue and ensure timely claim payments. pMD is seeking a contract Medical Claims Resolution Specialist to aggressively follow up on insurance receivables, resolve denials, and secure payment accuracy across multiple states.

Schedule
- Remote, U.S.-based contract role
- Minimum 20 hours per week required
- Calls must be made between 8am–6pm EST
- Independent contractor (W9 required)
What You’ll Do
- Contact insurance carriers to secure payments on past-due accounts
- Research and update unpaid or denied claim statuses
- Resolve outstanding claims, including complex charges, in compliance with payer guidelines
- Prepare and submit appeals with supporting documentation to dispute denials
- Accurately document activity on each account in pMD’s software
- Meet productivity standards (minimum: 7 encounters/hour, 175 per week)
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable regulations
What You Need
- Prior medical billing or collections experience, including ICD-10, HCPCS, and medical terminology
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with payers
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of basic computer and word processing applications
- Active Microsoft Word subscription and access to a reliable printer with supplies
- Must currently work as a sole proprietor or be willing to register as a business under contractor guidelines
- Reside in the U.S. and be authorized to work while physically located in the U.S.
